What ISED Requires in User Manuals for Radio Equipment Certification
ISED requires that certain compliance notices appear in the user information accompanying radio equipment. Under RSS‑Gen, these notices must be presented in both English and French, and may be provided through printed manuals, digital files, or online access.
Manufacturers must confirm that licence‑exempt device statements and other compliance notices are included and accurate for the applicable RSS. Where manuals are delivered electronically, notices must be easily accessible at the time of sale or download, and links must be reliable and maintained.
If devices are subject to RF exposure or SAR requirements, ensure that statements conform to RSS‑102 and the latest measurement procedure updates (2025).
